Best Homemade Banana Bread

Don't throw those ripe bananas out! This is the best banana recipe that's moist, delicious & easy! Definitely a favorite that makes a great breakfast, dessert or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract optional
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Prepare a loaf pan with butter, oil or cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar.
  • Add the bananas mash them then mix into the butter and sugar mixture.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract and almond extract and blend well.
  • Mix in the baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour.
  • Pour the batter into the loaf pan bake for about 45-50 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. OVEN TIMES VARY. If the toothpick comes out with batter still on it, put it back in a cook for 5-10 more minutes, until done.
  • Remove from oven and let cool.
  • Slice and enjoy!
