Not only is this recipe easy, it’s also tangy and full of flavor! I put this into my meal planning rotation because everyone loves it! That’s why I couldn’t wait to share it! I think you and your family will love it, too!
It takes just a few simple ingredients and is easy to prepare.
All it consist of is about 3-4 (more if you have a larger family or want left overs) chicken breast, cut into chunks. You also need orange marmalade, Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, soy sauce (although it’s not necessary), 2 eggs, flour and cooking oil (I use canola).
Let’s Make It!
Once you have your chicken cut up, dip each piece into the eggs, dredge in the flour, put it into a hot skillet with the canola oil and fry until it’s a golden brown. Then drain on a plate with paper towel.
While the chicken is frying, put 1 cup of marmalade, 2 TBSP soy sauce and 1 cup of BBQ Sauce in a saucepan and warm until slightly bubbly and easy to stir.
Put the cooked chicken into a larger bowl and pour the orange sauce over it and toss or stir until completely coated.
Serve immediately with fried or steamed rice, broccoli and an egg roll.
Our Favorite, Easy Rice
This is the fried rice that we prefer. It’s found in the freezer section and is $1.58 for a 10 ounce bag. I usually cook two bags as we love to have left overs, but one bag will easily feed two people, though.
I promise you that this recipe will be a hit with the family and they’ll be asking for it again and again.
